The Philadelphia Flyers are continuing to have an impressive start to a season that many had written off before it even started. The team is currently 2nd in the Metropolitan division with a record of 4-2-0. One player continuing to stand out is goalie, Carter Hart. The young goalie has posted an overall SV% of .949 so far this season and has helped the team earn their 4 wins while in net. This win streak is no easy feat in the NHL and is something the Flyers have not seen at the start of their season in 25 years!

In a tweet from Sam Carchidi, he points out the last Flyers goalie to start the season with 4 straight wins was goaltender, Ron Hextall during the 1997-98 season. Hextall was with the Flyers for 11 seasons in his 13 season career in the NHL. During the 1997-98 season, Hextall earned a record of 21-17-7 throughout 46 games played. The Flyers managed to finish 3rd in the Eastern Conference that season but lost to the Buffalo Sabres in the first round of the playoffs.
While this season is still in its infancy, Hart and the rest of the Flyers are proving they are a team that may not be so easy to beat.
