Claude Giroux left the Philadelphia Flyers after 15 years to go with the Florida Panthers with the hope of winning a Stanley Cup for the first time in his career. While his talent and his work ethic are beyond reproach, his arrival with the Florida team is not going as planned so far.

Today, the Panthers lost the third game against their Florida rival 5-1. They now need to win the 4 next games in a row in order to go through the next round of the playoffs. Giroux only managed to score 1 point in the last 3 games and some fans are already blaming him for bringing the Flyers' curse with him to Florida.

Claude Giroux has been in a similar situation with the Flyers in 2010 when they were losing 3-0 against the Boston Bruins, the Flyers did manage to come back at the time and reach the final. However, this Tampa Bay side is impressive, they've won the Stanley Cup the last two years in a row and have already defeated Auston Matthew's Toronto in the first round.

Will Claude Giroux be able to bring the Panthers further?
