Finally! A shift in culture for the Flyers

It seems that with fifteen games left in the season, the Flyers have officially woken up and decided to play their young guys.

In an article by NBC sports, Jordan Hall reports there is no set plan.

"Flyers interim head coach Mike Yeo said there's no set plan. Essentially, it's play well, and you keep playing."

A player's career and confidence which is directly going to be influenced in these last few games is Noah Cates.

Cates is a 23- year-old fifth rounder from the 2017 NHL draft. He's spent the last three seasons in the NCAA with the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

Hall spoke with coach Mike Yeo and indications are that he is impressed with the rookie.

"With Catesy, what I'd say is if that first game that he showed us is any indication, then he'll have no trouble earning his way into the lineup nightly."

Cates had 11 goals and 13 assists in 37 games last season. He's tall, strong and can play the wing or at center. Last game, he showed off his offensive potential and was rewarded with first line minutes and over 14 minutes of ice time.

"He's predictable to his linemates, created turnovers, allowed us to get back on the attack. For his first game, it was a really good debut."

Mike Yeo may have no choice but to stick with the rookies and nobody in this franchise is complaining. Finally there's a culture change.
