Hockey Canada has been trying to clean up it's tarnished name after numerous accusations against players of Team Canada. The most recent claims are against members of the 2003 and 2018 World Junior Team Canada Men's teams'.

Sexual incidents have been a terrible trend just last month the Edmonton Oilers Owner Daryl Katz was accused of having sexual relations with a 17 year old. Katz would deny those rumors, aswell former NHL'er Jake Virtanen was found not guilty of sexual assult that supposedly happened in Virtanen's hotel room.

This most recent on comes after a female would go to Halifax Police to report she was "gang raped" by eight members of Team Canada during the 2003 World Junior Hockey Championships in Halifax.

The details of the allegations are disturbing to say the least and there is reportedly a videotape of the assault, with full narration from one of the players involved.

Full details from TSN's Rick Westhead:

The video shows roughly a half-dozen players taking turns having sex with a woman who was non-responsive and lying face up on the pool table, the source said.

Two sources said they watched the video on a VHS tape in an apartment in the spring of 2003.

The third source said that one of the players on the 2003 World Juniors team borrowed their video camera during the tournament in Halifax. The recording was on the camera when it was returned to them. That person said they did not inform police about the recording and deleted the video from their camera after being pressured to do so by players. The source said they believe a copy of the video was made when the camera was not in their possession.

After the news of the alleged allegations came to light several members of the 2003 roster have fully co-operated to clear their names including PA Parenteau, Carlo Colaiacovo, Dan Paille and Jordin Tootoo.

However we have learned that one of Team Canada's goaltenders from the 2003's team, Marc Andre Fleury declined to comment on the allegations when confronted by Quebec's La Presse newspaper earlier this week.

From La Presse:

Questioned by La Presse , "the 37-year-old goalkeeper limited himself to repeating that he had "no comments" to make in relation to this case.

Tuesday evening, La Presse invited him to comment on the 2003 allegations. "No comments, thank you," he replied, politely, twice."

This obviously doesn't mean Fleury is guilty but it's definitely interesting why he wouldn't want to clear his name if he's got nothing to hide.
