Flyers Fans Are Furious After John Tortorella Benches His Top Two Players For a Entire 20 Minute Third Period
The Flyers took a 3-0 loss against the Sharks on Sunday night, but things got a bit confusing.
After the 2nd period, Flyers head coach, John Tortorella, decided to bench his two leading scorers in Kevin Hayes and Travis Konecny.
Tortorella didn't want to comment on the situation after the game, so there may have been something behind the scenes that we are not aware of.

It was just a strange move from Torts considering they were already playing without Van Riemsdyk. It was also just a 2-0 score heading into the 3rd frame.
If this was Torts' way of sending a message, then it may have worked. The Flyers outshot the Sharks 17-6 in that 3rd period, but were not able to hit the back of the net.
The Flyers definitely played more solid in the 3rd frame, but at what cost?
