Former Flyers Captains Bad Luck Continues

However, many Flyers fans have been quietly cheering on one of their former players.. I'm talking about former Flyers Captain Claude Giroux. The former Flyers signed with the Ottawa Senators this off-season via free agency and was hoping to lead a young talented Senators team to the playoffs.

Unfortunately for Giroux, he and his new team were eliminated, ironically by the team he wanted to play for at the trade deadline last season, the Florida Panthers, losing 7-2 Thursday night the Senators are officially eliminated from the playoffs.

This will no doubt be tough for Giroux who seemed to be having fun in Ottawa this season just to see the year end in disappointment.
