Former Flyers Forward Has Officially Signed With His Old Team

The Ottawa Senators have had quite the impressive off-season, acquiring two forwards who'll make a instant impact, Alex DeBrincat and Claude Giroux.

The Senators acquired DeBrincat in exchange for the seventh overall pick, this years draft is a week draft class, the first round seventh overall pick held less value than usual.
Alongside the acquisition of former longtime Philadelphia Flyers Claude Giroux off the free agent market, who signed a contract with a annual average earning total of $6.5 million per season.
The Senators still had a few spots on forward to be filled, and a fan favorite Derick Brassard was offered a professional tryout to possibly fill one of those spots, if he met the criteria.
The Senators announced during practice, that they have signed Derick Brassard to a one-year contract.
