When beloved Flyers star forward Claude Giroux decided to sign with the Ottawa Senators after being traded at the deadline to the Florida Panthers, many fans were upset that he did not resign with The Flyers. Whether it was a disconnect between the general manager and himself no one can say for sure.

Giroux, recently made an odd request to his current general manager Pierre Dorion, that he felt that the senators would make the playoffs if they didn't have to wear ties.

As the quote came from Sens Buzz, And the quote goes on from Dorian to say that he believes that doing things the right way is the best way to have structure for young players but the dress codes were eased up by the end of the year.

It's certainly a bizarre request from Giroux as he wants a less strict dress code it remains to be seen whether the senators will follow his request and grant it.

Numerous NHL teams always instill a dress code on their players as they are the image of the organization, especially with social media and the Internet constantly on themselves.
