On April 10, 2023, former Philadelphia Flyer Claude Giroux hit a major career milestone by scoring his 1000th career point in the NHL while playing against the Carolina Hurricanes. The veteran forward reached this impressive achievement with a goal in the first period as well as an assist. Giroux was a long-time Flyer and spent 16 years in Philadelphia and was drafted by the team in 2006.
