Here's the big advantage the Flyers have in order to sign Barry Trotz

The Flyers can't make the error of hiring a head coach that will not fit with the team. However, there's one person that is gonna get everyone to agree : Barry Trotz.

He's not a wizard, but he can literally transform a team. Before arriving behind the Islanders bench, the team's defense was one of the worst in the league. Everything changed when he was appointed : even though the front office didn't make any major changes on their defense, they became one of the best defensive teams in the league.

It says a lot about Trotz.

Obviously, a lot of organizations want him. One of them are the Winnipeg Jets, as it was reported that they interviewed the former Islanders coach yesterday.


But here's one thing that could advantage the Flyers : money. The Jets aren't the wealthiest organization in the league.
