One specific Flyers forward has been the odd-one out this season, and that is gritty forward Zac MacEwen. The 26-year old forward was left out of the Flyers opening night roster, but was called right back up when the teams injuries started to roll in, which included MacEwen taking the wing spot of a injured Owen Tippett.

In MacEwens first game, he took two penalties, and in his second he looked drastically better, but took another two, and Torts had some comments to say regarding MacEwens mentality, and how he better be humble to be on the Flyers and not in the minors.
Tortorella:
''guys sent down (specifically Mac): "Well, his attitude better be right, or he's just coming back up. I didn't expect that at all, & that's not what happened.

If we're gonna worry about attitude about being sent down here, they'll get stuck down there."
Well it seems like he will, as replacement has been signed, the Flyers announced they signed forward Lukas Sedlak, a former player under John Tortorellas system
