Depending on who you talk to, Flyers head coach John Tortorella is either extremely respected or extremely disliked. His hard, grinding coach style has rubbed some the wrong way, but this season the Flyers players have put their full trust in him and it has, somewhat, worked out.

Tortorella had a great display of his leadership on Saturday afternoon as the Flyers dropped a 6-2 loss against the Bruins. After allowing four goals in the first period, Tortorella pulled goalie Samuel Ersson aside and showed him that he still has confidence in him and gave him some words of encouragement.
All season the Flyers players have spoken highly of Torts. From Rasmus Ristolainen to Travis Konecny, Flyers players have recognized the pride that Tortorella has brought back to the locker room.
With the Carter Hart situation unfolding, the Flyers are going to need Ersson to come up huge after the All-Star break. Torts showing Ersson he has his full support has got to feel like a weight off his back after the Flyers have gone into the All-Star break as losers of five straight.
The Flyers will have a decent amount of time off to regroup, reset, and refocus before their first game back on Feb. 6 against the Florida Panthers.
