This highly sought-after talent from Russia found himself embroiled in controversy right from the start, as numerous reports surfaced regarding his poor attitude and unwavering defiance towards his management and coaching staff.
A recent report from a former teammate of Michkov stated how he refuses to heed anyone's advice and marches to the beat of his drum.

"He doesn't listen to anything the veterans tell him, he disregards the coaches, and he doesn't hesitate to mock and dismiss them," the teammate said of Michkov. "He only does what he wants."
It was evident that the Flyers had their sights set on Michkov at #7 and selected him without hesitation. The caveat is that he will remain with the KHL for the next three seasons, having signed a new deal with Moscow that prevents him from joining the Flyers in the United States.
Now, I believe many of these reports are exaggerated, and this young man possesses tremendous potential that the Flyers will tap into when he's ready. A recent tweet featured a video that showcased his true colours, especially his rapport with the fanbase after a victory with his team.

After watching the video multiple times, I strongly believe that he isn't as troublesome as these reports make him out to be, and the Flyers made the right choice at #7.
