Nolan Patrick stands as one of the most disappointing draft picks in NHL history, casting a shadow over Ron Hextall's tenure as the Philadelphia Flyers' General Manager.

Despite being aware of Patrick's concussion history, the Flyers opted for him instead of potential superstars like Cale Makar.
Today, Patrick's presence in the NHL is virtually nonexistent. Plagued by long-term migraines and recurring concussion issues, he has failed to complete a full season since his debut year in 2017 with the Flyers.
His last appearance on the ice dates back to March 2022, leaving fans and the organization disheartened. Ironically, if the Vegas Golden Knights triumph over the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup finals, Patrick's name will be engraved on the Cup as part of the roster. This bittersweet twist further emphasizes the unfortunate trajectory of his career.
