Frank Seravalli from dailyfaceoff. com made some bold predictions for the 2022-23 NHL season.

One such prediction was that Kelly McCrimmon of the Vegas Golden Knights would be fired sometime during the upcoming season.
It seems that owner Bill Foley isn't too keen on his team that he paid a $500 million expansion fee not making the playoffs last year.

Then, there's the controversial loss of two key players for which McCrimmon received literally nothing in return for to make matters worse. McCrimmon's handling of the team's salary cap has not been the best.
While Foley may have liked going big by acquiring Jack Eichel, giving up promising player Alex Tuch who had 12 goals. 26 assists in 50 games last season may have hurt them. He also surrendered Peyton Krebs in the deal, who is just 21 years old with terrific potential.
Of course he took a huge chance trading for Eichel who had neck surgery and did recover to gather 14 goals, 11 assists in just 34 games. A full season of Eichel attacking the opponent's net could ease McCrimmon pain.
Eichel can't do it all, and the Golden Knights have also been riddled with multiple injuries, especially in net. Both Robin Lehner and Laurent Brossoit are injured with Lehner out the entire season.
So, McCrimmon went out and brought in Adin Hill whom he traded for with the San Jose Sharks. He and Logan Thompson will share the net minding duties. The status of captain Mark Stone is questionable also.
McCrimmon also signed veteran former Arizona Coyotes forward Phil Kessel to help out his offense, but it's not clear if he has much left. He will most certainly break the Iron-man record and overtake Keith Yandle's record of 989 straight games.
If the Golden Knights can bounce back and make the playoffs this season, McCrimmon's job may not be in jeopardy.
For right now, that's a big IF. He has multiple hurdles to clear, the most of which is his goaltending. The Golden Knights actually allowed 53 shots on goal against the Arizona Coyotes recently displaying another weakness which needs to be addressed.
Life as a GM in the NHL... good luck Kelly!
