Sonny Milano to The Flyers? Why Not? Calgary Releases Him From Professional Tryout Contract

Sonny Milano agreed to a professional tryout with the Calgary Flames following 3 years with the Anaheim Ducks.

Milano, 26, was left out of the lineup in morning skate prior to last night's preseason tune-up with the Winnipeg Jets.

This is not a good indication of Milano's status with the team as we are nearing the end of the preseason. Teams will have to have their final rosters announced in the coming days.

Milano is coming off the best year of his 7-year career, where he finished with 34 points (14 G, 20 A) in 66 games played.

If released, there should be a team looking at him in the near future as he is just 25-years old still, and has plenty of experience to go with his age.

If you don't recognize Milano's name, maybe you'll recognize him from the ridiculous goal he scored last year courtesy of the Zegras "Dishigan" play:

Should the Flyers take a crack at Milano, after missing out on other big name free agents this past off-season?
