The National Hockey League has grown significantly in recent years as a result of entry of new expansion clubs like the Seattle Kraken and Las Vegas Golden Knights.

Despite the fact that we now have 32 organizations, a lovely even number thanks to the Kraken's recent acquisition, there is still continuous speculation over which city will obtain an NHL club next.
Wayne Gretzky, known as "the great one," who is widely regarded as the best player to ever play the game, has expressed his thoughts on the subject, and everyone has their own ideas about which city would form the ideal new hockey market.
Gretzky's choice of locations, as well as the sequence in which he stated them, was, to put it nicely, extremely intriguing when asked which towns he believed deserved an NHL team the most.

Keep in mind, Gretzky has a close relationship with Gary Bettman who is the leagues commissioner and would defiantly have a big influence on the next NHL franchise, and which city that takes place in.
"I haven't thought about it a whole lot, but just looking at it from a practical point of view, the three that I would say: I think Kansas City because the Chiefs and Royals do so well. I think the city of Houston because the Stars have helped grow hockey down there. The third one that's most obvious is Quebec City. There is nothing like hockey in the province of Quebec," admitted Gretzky as per Bleacher Report. Gretzky stated Quebec city should be up next, and likely will.
