In last night's second round playoff bout between the two remaining Canadian teams, the Calgary Flames blew out the Edmonton Oilers in a 9-3 goal fest.

The. game had all you wanted in a playoff game. Intense hatred for the opponent, highlight reel goals and of course some of the best chirping you'll ever see.

Trailing 5-1 in the early second period, the Oilers, led by Connor McDavid, overcame their deficit and eventually tied the game at 6-6 early in the third. Thats's when with about 14:00 left to go, chirp master Tkachuk looked through his bag of swears and insults and roasted Evander Kane.

Reading lips here, it appears that Tkachuk yells "you poor bastard" at Kane while in the box together.

Earlier on, he even made the cash gesture with his hands and seemed to taunt Kane with "you want some money?"

This of course eluding to Kane's locker room cancer tendencies and the investigation surrounding Kane betting and gambling on his own NHL games while playing for the San Jose Sharks.

Kane in fact filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy just days prior to the 2021 NHL season.

According to The Athletic, Kane filed for bankruptcy after amassing $26.8 million of debt.

This year, Kane's salary is $1,375,000 and his cap hit is $2,108,696.

And to finally rub salt in the wounds of the Oilers, Tkachuk would end the game with three goals, an NHL playoff hat trick to cap off an amazing night in the NHL.

Game 2 is tomorrow at 10:30 p.m. ET.
