Head coach John Tortorella has a vision of how hockey should be played. One of the key points is to defend yourself against your opponent whether it's having the puck or with your fists.

One key stat about Tortorella's teams is that they are always said to be one of the toughest teams to play against because they don't give up that easily and they're willing to drop the gloves or fight their way through their opponents.
Today during practice, two Flyers forwards decided to drop the gloves and do training on fighting. One was Joel Farabee and the other one was Brendan Lemieux.

After the sparring was over, a question was asked about who won the fight. Farabee answered that he did and Lemieux said Oh Joel.
Fighting is still part of the game though it's no longer as important as it was 20 years ago, when a player is being bothered and not defending himself there comes a time when a player needs to answer for it.
The Flyers will be at home for their next game against the Boston Bruins. The game will be on April 9th and it'll be at 6:00 PM Eastern.
