Broad Street Hockey.com sparked the idea with an article covering what the Flyers could learn from the Phillies, to reach the heights of the cities pro baseball team.

And Flyers inside would like to do the same, so here goes nothing.
A five-item list of things the Flyers could implement to match the success of the Philadelphia Phillies, in clinching their place in the World Series.
Must read on FlyersInsider
1. With the wild narrative, known as the GM conundrum in Philadelphia, the thought of new management was brought up before the season begun. Fresh faces in office could be just what the doctor ordered. Perfect example is the Montreal Canadiens, while they are far from contenders, the early benefits of a new management team has already paid dividends in terms of transparency and renewed culture.
2. Locker room cancers can often cause more harm than fans might know. And moving out the bad, even if they are offensive catalysts, could prove crucial when the playoffs come around.
3. The Flyers already took the step of bringing in a new coach in John Tortorella and as many know, Torts demands absolute respect from his brigade, so a no nonsense coach could be huge for a team that is trying to find their way.
4. Giving the full confidence to the team by bringing in a big fish free agent, might just spark the team to climb to new heights. Which could also make Chuck Fletcher look like a genius.
5. Bringing in some depth pieces to increase the level of competition and allow the prospects to marinate in Lehigh Valley could work in more ways than one. Providing the Flyers with professional level players, who will help the team steer through the long, treacherous NHL season. And the young guns can play quality minutes in the minors, while acclimating to the pace of professional hockey.
Now these are strictly subjective and opinion based, with all the credit going to Broad Street Hockey.com.
Thoughts and comments are welcomed and encouraged. What's your top five?
