It's with a heavy heart we here at Flyers Insider have to share that a 19 year-old hockey player has passed away this weekend.

Braydin Lewis was a defenseman playing for the Metro Jets of the United States Hockey League for the past 3 season's but was battling cancer until it took over making Lewis unable to play.
Lewis was was surrounded by family when he passed away late on Saturday night.
"After his diagnosis last summer, he was determined to return for his third season," wrote the Jets on Sunday. "Not only did he return, but played while undergoing treatment. Lewey's strength and willingness was an inspiration to the team and he showed up to support his teammates at every opportunity."

We want to let the entire family of Braydin Lewis know they have our sincerest condolences from everyone at Flyers Insider
