Philadelphia Flyers head coach John Tortorella was ejected 10 minutes and 49 seconds into Saturday night's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The head coach was ejected because he was displeased by the tripping call that went against Ronnie Attard which led to a goal by Brayden Point. After the goal he berated the referees to let his displeasure known and that is when referee Wes McCauley gave John Tortorella a 2 minute bench minor and a 10 minute game misconduct. After receiving the 10 minute game misconduct, John Tortorella refused to leave by telling Wes McCauley he was not leaving. John Tortorella did eventually go to the locker room. The Flyers ended the period down 4-0 and will now have to try and come back without their head coach behind the bench.
