Flyers Head Coach shows no Mercy Towards Player

Flyers Head Coach has been known throughout his career to not hold anything back when giving his opinion. He does not sugar coat his opinion, he tells the media and the player how it is. This will sometimes rub players the wrong way, but a lot of players respect it as well.
In a recent interview, John Tortorella addressed his Captain Sean Couturier:

"I don't think he's happy at all (In terms of his play). I don't think I need to run to Coots, in terms of how he's playing. I'm not going to give anything away for free (Ice time), just because of his status."

Coots has recently been demoted to the 4th line, He has 1 goal and 3 assists in his last ten games while being a -10 one ice rating. He is really struggling in all facets of his game. Some have come to criticize how Coots has been used this year. He was coming off 2 major back surgeries and had not played in over a year, however he was averaging 20 minutes of ice time a night through January.
Tortorella has since demoted him to the 4th line while cutting the Captains ice time in favor for players who are producing. Coots is beloved in Philly, and everyone is pulling for him to get out of this slump as he is an integral part of the Flyers team and their success moving forward!
