With the trade deadline quickly approaching, rumors are now swirling. Per rumors, the Philadelphia Flyers have interest in Montreal Canadiens goaltender Jake Allen. It appears that the Canadiens would like a 2nd-round pick in return.

Jake Allen who started his career with the St. Louis Blues, has played the last 4 seasons in Montreal. This season, he has played in 21 games and his record is 6-12-3 with a 3.65 GAA and .892 save percentage. While these numbers aren't exactly impressive, the Flyers may be looking for a veteran presence to back up rookie goaltender Sam Ersson for the remainder of the season, as the Flyers look to make the payoffs for the first time since the 2020 season.
