All season long, the Philadelphia Flyers have made history, shocked the world, and seem to be poised for a playoff run in an unexpected rebuild year. From the penalty kill to shorthanded goals and outstanding goalie performances, the Flyers are firing on all-cylinders heading into the trade deadline. One aspect of the Flyers game is currently on pace to break an NHL record.

On Monday night, Flyers 24-year-old Morgan Frost got the Flyers on the board with a beautiful penalty shot in the second period, lighting a spark in the Flyers offense and ultimately leading them to a 5-3 win against the Arizona Coyotes.
With Frost's goal, the Flyers are currently first in the NHL in penalty shot goals with four, and are also currently on pace to break an NHL record in goals on the penalty shot.
With four penalty shot goals on the season, the Flyers are currently tied for first all time in most penalty goals on the season. One more penalty shot goal and the Flyers will make NHL history and cement themselves as the greatest team in NHL history on the penalty shot.
Equally impressive, the Flyers are perfect on the penalty shot, going four-for-four this season. Morgan Frost, Travis Konecny, Scott Laughton and Sean Couturier have all netted penalty goals this season.
With the Flyers having scored penalty shot goals in back-to-back games, it is sure that the Flyers will break the record in 2024.
