For nearly a decade, the duo of captain Claude Giroux and Jakub Voracek brought Flyers fans so many great memories and rocked the Wells Fargo Center. From constant playoff appearances, exciting offenses, and Stadium Series comebacks, Giroux and Voracek will live in Philadelphia sports royalty. In a recent interview, Flyers fans got a first hand look of the relationship between the two and learned some funny tactics between the two.

On Saturday, Flyers long-time right wing Jakub Voracek appeared on the "Nasty Knuckles" podcast, and gave Flyers fans a behind-the-scenes look into the locker room of one of the most successful eras in Flyers hockey.
Of all the stories Voracek told, the most interesting and possibly funniest story came when Voracek told a story about how the duo of Giroux and Voracek would pick each other up when slumping, especially in the powerplay.

"We go out for our second powerplay, a little better than our first attempt, but still no goal, no pressure, nothing. We come off the ice and just start snapping on each other. Almost a full-on brawl on the bench...Me, G, Simmer, going at it always."

One thing learned from Voracek's podcast appearance, is that the core group of Voracek, Giroux, and Simmonds, never lacked a competitive edge; a large reason as to why Philadelphia loved that group so much.
If the Flyers current powerplay keeps lacking, the 2024 Flyers may have to take some notes from Voracek and Giroux.
