"If there's one thing we learned about the Philadelphia Flyers this season, it's that the current roster wants to win at all costs, no matter how banged up they are. Sean Couturier playing two games on a torn MCL, both Brian Elliott and Michal Neuvirth needing offseason procedures after injuries almost all year and even young Ivan Provorov playing through a Grade 3 AC seperation in Game 6 admitting losing complete feeling in his arm during the third period. Then there's Wayne Simmonds....Everybody knew something was up with Simmonds this year, he just didn't look like himself and wasn't able to take on the top minutes he usually does, and now we know why. To start, Simmonds entered the season with a torn pelvis and played the entire season with it. He then pulled his ground in mid-October and lost some teeth the following game thanks to Mattias Ekholm's stick. It doesn't stop there, Simmonds broke his ankle at the end of October after taking a Shayne Gostisbehere snapshot and then tore a ligament in his hand in February. Absolutely incredible he still played 75 games this season!
