"The Philadelphia Flyers got the job done on Sunday in a big matchup against the Boston Bruins. The Flyers came away with a win thanks to an absolutely beautiful OT goal from captain Claude Giroux, and in the win both Giroux and Jakub Voracek set new career highs. Giroux set a new career high in goals as he now sits with 29 on the season, his previous high (28) was reached in both the 2013-14 season and the 2011-12 season. It's pretty surprising that Giroux has never scored 30 goals before in his 735 NHL game career. The Flyers captain also set a new career high in points as he's up to 95 on the season, surpassing his 2011-12 season total of 93. Voracek also set a new career high in points as he surpassed the 81 points he got during his 2014-15 break out season and now sits with 82 points on this season with three games left to play. The team has a had a great bounce back season after missing the playoffs last year, it's good to see the Flyers with plenty of confidence heading into the playoffs.
