It's no secret that the Philadelphia Flyers have been one of the best teams in hockey since the All-Star break. Monday night was just another piece to the puzzle as the Flyers took care of the Arizona Coyotes 5-3 for their fourth straight win. The Flyers are firing all cylinders right now, from Morgan Frost to Scott Laughton to Travis Konecny, many players have been hot since the break. One particular Flyer has been a steady hand and is a large reason as to why the Flyers are seeing success.

On Monday night, Samuel Ersson turned in a stellar performance, stopping 20 of 23 shots with a .870 save percentage and a strong save on the powerplay. One save in particular that Ersson made had fans jaws dropping and the Wells Fargo Center rocking.
With the Coyotes offense on the attack, they came flying at Ersson. Ersson remained composed despite a Coyote literally jumping into his face, and made the save to preserve the Flyers lead.
Ersson and his performance in between the pipes have not only been consistent, but have been borderline dominant since the break, which serves as a pleasant site as Ersson struggled before the All-Star break.
In three starts since the break, Ersson is 3-0 with a .930 save percentage. Ersson has shut down some of the top teams in the NHL including a dominant performance against the Winnipeg Jets a week ago.
Ersson has seemingly been a hero for Philadelphia fans, as he has stepped up in a time of need as the Flyers now are forced to proceed as an organization without Carter Hart.
