This regular season for the Flyers has been unexpected and a pleasant surprise for most Flyers fans as many pegged the team to be in the bottom ten once again. With players buying in to John Tortorella system and torts pushing the right buttons, the team continues to win games and stockpile points.

This has also drove up the price and value of certain players that are available at the trade deadline which is 2 weeks away. Nick Seeler and Sean Walker are some of the names out there however one name has been getting a lot of attention which is Flyers centerman Scott Laughton.
NHL insider and CEO of thedailyfaceoff.com Frank Seravalli has named 3 teams he feels would be in the mix for Laughton.

The obvious team would be the Flyers metro division rival the New York Rangers. Their depth took a hit when the team lost Filip Chytil and Nick Bonino. General manager Chris Drury has been looking across the league in trying to find a replacement centre and one name that keeps appearing is Lawton as he only holds a $3,000,000 cap hit and he has term on his contract.
Two other teams that are surprising on his list are the Buffalo Sabres and the Ottawa Senators. The Senators currently under new ownership and a new general manager and Steve Staios have been analyzing the team they have in front of them and feel that changes are necessary including at centre.
The Senators have talent that could be offered and would have strong leadership from Laughton on their bottom 6.
It's safe to say the Flyers are going to be one of the most interesting teams of the deadline as they have several people available for trade yet they have built a nice season and may want to explore how far this team can go.
