On a day where Chris Chelios was being honored by the Chicago Blackhawks and having his number 7 raised to the rafters, it was another return that really stole the show.

Patrick Kane made his return the United Center in Chicago for the first time since leaving the Blackhawks. They played an amazing tribute video in his honor, and it took him three full laps around the rink for the insane ovation to stop.
The story didn't end there. In overtime, the game-ending goal was scored on a breakaway, by who else? Kane. Who celebrated in the same way Blackhawks fans used to know and love so much.
This was the perfect ending to perhaps one of the best days in Kane's career. Surely Kane will return at one point to retire as a Blackhawk, barring something major. But for one night he was reminded that he's still a Chicago legend.
