With the Philadelphia Flyers missing the playoffs, the writing is pretty much on the wall for Scott Gordon. It's highly unlikely that he's named head coach of the Flyers moving forward and general manager Chuck Fletcher will start fresh with a hire of his own. As soon as Dave Hakstol was fired, rumors swirled that Joel Quenneville would be hired as the new coach however that never materialized. According to a source close to ESPN's Greg Wyshynski, the team has a name in mind. Former Edmonton Oilers and San Jose Sharks head coach Todd McLellan could be the man. The 51 year old has a 434-282-90 career coaching record in 806 games and a 37-38 record in the playoffs.
