As the Philadelphia Flyers continue to turn heads and have an impressive 2023-24 season, head coach John Tortorella is tasked with finding out what lineups and line changes work and don't work. Before Saturday's matchup against the Seattle Kraken, Tortorella made a major decision regarding a key defenseman.

Saturday morning the Flyers took the ice at the Wells Fargo Center for morning skate as they prepare to take their third win in a row against the Seattle Kraken. As the Flyers final lineups prepare to take the ice, one key defenseman was left out of the lineup.
23-year-old defenseman Egor Zamula was listed as a healthy scracth for Saturday night's matchup against the Kraken. Despite having a strong first half of the season, Tortorella wanted to see Zamula make more progress on five-on-five play.
"He's leveled off a bit 5-on-5, I want him to watch the game."

Zamula had a strong month of December and established himself as a legitmate offensive threat from the blue line, notching 15 points on five goals and 10 assists.
Will Zamula be able to bounce back and learn from the night off like Morgan Frost or will Torts have to take a different strategy to get Zamula rolling again?
