Saturday night saw the Philadelphia Flyers drop their second straight loss and fifth in seven games as they fell to the NHL leading Boston Bruins, 6-5 despite a last-minute comeback effort. As the Flyers continue to drop games, the standings in the Metro Division get tighter and tighter and it appears that the Flyers are going to be in a battle in these final 15 games if they want to make the postseason. After the game, head coach John Tortorella shared why this team has been struggling as of late.

The last few weeks, the Philadelphia Flyers have seen some changes in the roster and it has become extremely evident. Possibly the biggest change the Flyers have noticed has come on the defensive end. Losing Jamie Drysdale and Nick Seeler to injury and Sean Walker being traded to Colorado, the Flyers have struggled immensely on the defensive end, allowing 21 goals in the last four games, including six goals in back-to-back games.
For Tortorella, the lack of manpower is an obvious reason for the Flyers struggles, to which he mentioned postgame. As usual, Tortorella gave a short, simple answer that perfectly encapsulates where the Flyers have stood the past few games.
It has yet to be announced when Seeler and Drysdale will return, but boy do the Flyers desperately need them. Marc Staal has been struggling in his attempts to carry the load, and it was clear last night as the Flyers gave up another six goals.
With the Flyers faltering with just 15 games remaining, will they end up missing the Playoffs?
