Flyers keep their playoff hopes alive with the victory over the Devils

Now, with the victory, the Flyers cannot be eliminated from playoff contention, no matter what happens in the other games, but if they would have lost, they would have been eliminated with a Penguins victory. The Flyers are currently in a playoff chase with the Penguins, Red Wings and Capitals. After the Flyers victory, they did leap frogged into a playoff position, but the Flyers only have 1 game remaining, meanwhile, the Red Wings, Capitals and Penguins all have 3 games remaining. In order, to make the playoffs, the Flyers must defeat the Washington Capitals in their last game of the season and both the Penguins and Capitals must finish 1-1-1 or worse and the Red Wings must finish 1-2 or worse. The Flyers making the playoffs seems unlikely, but at least for now, there is a chance.
