Former Philadelphia Flyers head coach Dave Hakstol has been fired by the Seattle Kraken. Dave Hakstol was the Kraken head coach for the first 3 seasons of the Franchise existence. He finished with a record of 107-112-27 for the Kraken. He helped led the Kraken to their first and only playoff appearance in the 2022-2023 season, which included a 1st round series victory as they were eliminated in the 2nd round of that season.

To our first-ever head coach, thank you.

«Dave is a good coach and a terrific person. We wish him and his family all the best.» -General Manager Ron Francis
Prior to becoming the Kraken head coach, Hakstol also served as the Flyers head coach from 2015 to the 2018-2019 season. Hakstol was fired by the Flyers during the 2018-2019 season after 31 games. As a Flyers head coach, his record was 134-101-42. He made two playoff appearances with the Flyers both being 1st round exits. With the offseason set to begin, we will see if Dave Hakstol gets a new head coaching position.
