For the week, Sam Ersson went 2-0-1 with wins over both Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins. He Had a 2.65 GAA with a .904 save percentage during the week. Both wins were huge for the Flyers as they just lost to those teams, a few games prior and they are currently in a playoff chase.
With Carter Hart on indefinite leave, without Sam Ersson, who knows where they Flyers would be in the standings, the odds are, they would not be currently in a playoff spot. With Ersson, only being rookie, the future looks bright for this young goaltender.
