Since the Philadelphia Flyers shook up the NHL in January by trading top prospect Cutter Gauthier to the Anaheim Ducks for young defenseman Jamie Drysdale, there have been many speculations and rumors about a certain former teammate of Drysdale potentially teaming up and coming to the Flyers. A recent social media post has sparked those rumors again.

22-year-old center Trevor Zegras has been the cornerstone for the Anaheim Ducks franchise since being a top ten pick in 2019. Although Zegras hasn't played much this season due to being placed on IR with an injury, Zegras has potential to be a star in the NHL. Zegras has scored 60 plus points in back-to-back seasons, marking a career high in 2023 with 65 points on 23 goals and 42 assists.
With the Flyers being rewarded extra cap money from the Carter Hart situation, reuniting Zegras with Jame Drysdale in Philly could be a real possibility according to Flyers inside reporter Jamey Baskow.
"Trevor Zegras would be a great add for this young Flyers team. Briere could make it work, especially with all this extra cap space to wheel and deal, while picking up assets in the same token. Zegras would be a good rebuild addition like Jamie Drysdale was."

Not only have those rumors gained traction, but a recent social media post has fans almost pleading for Zegras to come to Philly. After head coach John Tortorella went viral for a hilarious soundbite about Jamie Drysdale, Zegras liked the post on social media, posted by a Flyers account.
With rumors of Zegras and Anaheim's contract negotiations not going well, could the Flyers land the Anaheim star and reunite two best friends?
