The Flyers Face Ex Teammate as he Achieves a Milestone

Later today, the Philadelphia Flyers will be facing the Boston Bruins. After their recent losing streak that can't seem to be overcome, the team prepares to attempt a big win to up their chances of performing in the playoffs.

The Flyers are trying to get out of an unfortunate pattern against the Bruins later tonight. The team is currently third in the Metropolitan division with 67 games played, 34 wins and 25 losses. As they prepare strategies for the upcoming Bruins game, Ex-Flyers player James van Riemsdyk will be a familiar face set to go against his previous allegiance. Van Riemsdyk played for the Flyers throughout five straight seasons starting in 2018, while originally being drafted by the team back in 09 where he played there until 2012.

James Van Riemsdyk's most recent season with the Flyers ended with a total of 61 games played with 12 goals and 17 assists, for a total of 29 points. He currently has 63 games played with the Boston Bruins this season, sitting at 63 games played with 11 goals and 27 assists. Tonight's game will officially be his 1000th game played in the NHL, while both fans and the two teams involved can do nothing but feel proud of his long and fruitful career. Although the two teams will be battling it out, the game will be a respectful match between two teams who honor James Van Riemsdyk's newest NHL milestone.
