The Philadelphia Flyers traded away their heart and soul of the team last season when they sent captain Claude Giroux to the Florida Panthers at the trade deadline.

After a disappointing playoffs, Giroux signed a 3 year $19 million dollar deal with the Ottawa Senators as a free agent and will do an amazing job mentoring this young Senators team.

However, Giroux has also made huge impact offensively for the Senators scoring 16 goals and 28 assists in 47 games, making Giroux almost a point per game player last season.

Giroux would score this desperation goal to beat Islanders goaltender Semyon Varlamov for the game winner.

This goal was also special for Giroux's teammate and the Senators 2020 1st round pick Ridley Greig. This was the kid's NHL debut and Greig would get an assist of Giroux's winner earning his 1st NHL point of Greig's career.
