John Tortorella Rips Auston Matthews a New One For Being a Clown & More in Defense of His Player Being Jumped

The Philadelphia Flyers frustration was at a all-time high during last nights matchup where they lost the the Toronto Maple Leafs, but when down a few goals with just a few minutes to go into the third period, Leafs superstar Auston Matthews delivered some dirty blows to Flyers forward Travis Konecny.

Matthews and Konecny were going toe-to-toe all game, and during the final few minutes it got more real after the two players exchanged slashes and blows, but Matthews shied away from Konecny and smiled when a Maple Leaf stepped in and jumped Travis Konecny.

Konecny was jumped twice by Maple Leafs player, while Matthews sat back and smiled throughout it all, even though he started it. Take a look below at the two altercations:





John Tortorella was asked about it during his post game media conference and came to the defense of his player Travis Konecny, calling Auston Matthews a clown, and claiming he is a rich kid, view Torts' comments below:
