Much as the Flyers prospect news has been focused on Matvei Michkov of HC Sochi having been drafted by the Flyers in 2023 seventh overall, another draft pick has been insane numbers with the OHL during the same draft.

Oliver Bonk, the son of former Ottawa Senators Radek Bonk has been piling up the points since the season began and put on a beautiful display when the London Knights faced off against the Kitchener Rangers.
The goal was a bullet from near the point as he received the pass and put his 12th goal on the power play.

The 19-year-old defenceman was drafted in the first round 22nd overall by the Flyers in 2023. According to elite prospects com, he is typically a shutdown defenseman who has excellent hockey IQ and is a strong physical presence in his own end.
But it's clear that this season has been remarkable as he's only played 39 games and has scored 17 goals with 35 assists for 52 points.
This will bode well for the Flyers defence as they will have another weapon to use on the power play and have a physical presence to help shut down other teams top lines in the future.
