New Team Emerges in Sean Walker Sweepstakes

The Flyers, fresh off the heels of an incredibly hard fought loss to the top team in the division New York Rangers, have a new trade partner for popular defenseman Sean Walker.

The Flyers have an unlikely pair of defensemen who is playing incredibly well in Nick Seeler and Sean Walker. Both are being rumored to be traded at the deadline, however recent reports indicate the Flyers are looking to extend Nick Seeler, which might make Walker expendable. Walker is a valued and rare right handed defenseman, which every team in the NHL values.


The Bruins have emerged as a top team looking to add Walker. Long rumored to be in the hunt for a defenseman, especially Noah Hanifin, the Bruins could come shopping for Walker. The Bruins may be priced out of Hanifin and could come looking for more of a bargain like Sean Walker. The Bruins have limited cap space and are short on draft picks. They will have to trade a player or two, the Flyers could target Jake DeBrusk or a younger players as well.


The Flyers are in a unique situation, while contending, they can still be sellers and bring back serious future assets.
