A handful of injuries have already plagued the Flyers, raising concerns

With injuries continuing to pile-up for the Philadelphia Flyers, the team will be faced with bad news as training camp continues.

Cam Atkinson sat out against the New Jersey Devils, and after missing the whole of 2022-2023, that should appear concerning, but Ian Lapierre, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms head coach, did not elaborate.

Cam Atkinson (lower body) and Cam York (unknown) both not on the ice with either practice group this morning. Pending an update from Ian Laperriere later on.

Konecny didn't go into detail today regarding his injury, echoing Torts' designation as a "body" injury. But he says he feels fine now, and he'll be good to go for preseason games this week.

Also missing from the team's first pre-season game was Travis Konecny, one of the team's best forwards. Konecny is not expected to participate in the second game as well.

John Tortorella and Danny Briere are preaching higher standards as they re-build and re-shape the team. It is troubling, however, that there has already been a plague of injuries and that there has been a lack of communication regarding these injuries.

Injury numbers keep piling up, just as they have since 2019 to the New Era of Orange and Black.

For now, no official update has been provided on whether Cam York and Cam Atkinson will return to the ice in the near future.
