Carter Hart Invited Two Special Friends to Today's Morning Practice

If you were not aware of Carter Hart's reasoning behind wearing #79, read below as to why he chose the number that is hardly seen anymore:

The story behind Hart's No. 79 was first reported by PhillyVoice's Joe Santoliquito. Though Hart originally wore No. 70 in part because it was Braden Holtby's number, he chose to stay with his development camp number, 79, after one of his biggest young fans — a 7-year-old boy with autism named Connor — purchased the jersey and attended one of Hart's junior games wearing it. Hart has kept it ever since, and he remains in touch with Connor and his family.

Carter and Connor have developed an amazing relationship throughout Carter's NHL career. They meet quite often, and Carter recently invited Connor and his mother to the Philadelphia Flyers morning practice as they are set to take on the Seattle Kraken tomorrow night.

Carter also invited his former billet family member for four years when he was with the WHL Silvertips, he gave Carter a home for four years, his name is Parker Fowlds. Check out the photo below:
