Cutter Gauthier was selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 1st round of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.

However, he has not yet made it to the NHL as he decided to hone his skills further by attending Boston College.

Gauthier was the top scorer for the BC Eagles last season, and the Flyers were unsure of his intentions until late March when he announced his decision. In the meantime, Gauthier has been playing exceptionally well at the IIHF World Hockey Championships, where he and his soon-to-be teammate have been dominating with great power-play goals.

Today, Gauthier has proved that he is not a flop or a terrible selection by having an outstanding performance, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist, resulting in a 4-point game.

This was his 5th goal total of the tournament. As the young centerman led the way, France was completely shut out with a remarkable score of 9-0.
