The Philadelphia Flyers faced off against the Detroit Red Wings Saturday at 6pm EST where they nailed home a huge 2-1 win after Carter Hart dominated the crease, stopping 30/31 shots.

Tortorella announced Hart was starting in net, and it wasn't just another start for Hart, it was much bigger than that.

That start gave Hart sole possession of 5th place in the most games played by a goaltender in Flyers history.

Hart surpassed Pete Peeters, with 179 games played.

As the tweet mentions, Hart is just 24 years old. After tonight, he will be chasing Doug Favell (215), Steve Mason (231), Bernie Parent (486), and Ron Hextall (489).

Hart has a solid chance to surpass Favell and Mason, but he will need to stick with the Flyers for a while if he wants to catch up to Parent and Hextall.- Ryan Hollingsworth
