The Flyers have begun their evaluation of their lineup and will be looking all over to see who fits the mold of their style of play and who does not. As in any other rebuilding phase, the number of players that will come and go from the franchise will be enormous.

Players will be traded off for assets and draft picks to recover better players that are younger and more inexpensive and more talented along with others who will be brought in to help bridge in the short order until the younger players are ready.
According to Larry Brooks, it appears that Tony DeAngelo's time with the Flyers may be coming to an end. DeAngelo has had a rocky time while being a Flyer, especially with head coach John Tortorella. DeAngelo and Torts have been at odds from time to time. It seems that DeAngelo does not want to conform to what Torts wants as a defenseman.

Currently, D Angelo holds a $5 million cap hit next season according to capfriendly.com and I highly doubt the Flyers will buy him out. He's too valuable of a player to give up even though he's had not the best of seasons and he will rebound if they decide to move him.
Being a right-shot defenseman and holding a modest cap hit, he could certainly benefit a few teams looking for defensive help. At age 27 he still has many good years left in his career he could make a difference.
The Flyers' next important date is May 8th, this is when the team will learn where they sit in the NHL draft lottery and if they will be making a jersey for Connor Bedard.
