The Philadelphia Flyers struggles continues as they turned in another sub-par performance on Thursday night, getting shutout 3-0 at the hands of the Detroit Red Wings. This loss is the Flyers fourth consecutive loss, and second straight loss by an opponent below them in the standings.

One Flyers player, however, did show signs of life on Thursday night as Flyers left wing Nicolas Deslauriers let out some frustration and attempted to light a spark in the Flyers as he dropped gloves with Red Wings center Klim Kostin at the end of the second period.

Deslauriers actually won the fight, dropping Kostin to the ground after a few right jabs and hooks, but the Red Wings ultimately won the war, cruising to a 3-0 victory as former Flyers goalie prospect Alex Lyon recorded a shutout against his former team.

The Flyers road doesn't get easier as they are set to take on the Boston Bruins at home on Saturday afternoon as legendary Flyer Mark Recchi gets inducted into the Flyers hall of fame.
