Injury Update: Things Are Not Looking Good For This Set of Flyers Forwards, Both Receive Setbacks
Sean Couturier had back surgery last February and is still not close to returning. Unfortunately for Couturier, he is no longer skating after receiving clearance just a couple weeks ago.
Cam Atkinson is no longer skating, as well. He is recovering from an undisclosed upper body injury, that was expected to be over with weeks ago.
Atkinson's updates have been getting worse and worse as he was supposed to be ready for preseason, but that never happened. He then became day-to-day and now it is week-to-week.
With him no longer skating, we cannot expect to not see him, or Couturier, in a Flyers uniform for a while.
Unfortunate news out of Philadelphia today, as both players would be big additions to a struggling Flyers squad.
